After a draw against Turmoil, NiP is suddenly under a lot of pressure. What else happend in round two?
No one believed Turmoil would stand a chance against mighty NiP, but they really didn't care. A draw against the Swedish top team means that Turmoil still got a chance to proceed to next round and also that NiP has to win their remaining matches to be certain to go to stage 2.
What was predicted as a close match turned out exactly that way. ID Gaming did the bad thing to wNv when closing the match at 16 - 13. ID Gaming had a huge cap, but wNv showed great team spirit and got back in the game, but unfortunately for them it was too late.
In NoAs first match it seems like they had underestimated endless a bit, follwoing each other nicely hand in hand untill about 8 - 8, NoAs experience kicked in and that was it for endless. ESWC is over for endless for this year with that result.
estro from Korea decided to finish the job as clean and swift as a sushi cook handles a fish in the kitchen. Cubesports had to go all the way to the 9th round before they could get in the game. At 16 - 2 it was determined that sushi is far better than spaghetti!
Global Gaming came back to reality after a great first match. 69n28e didn't leave much chance to the Danes and there were really never a question about the result. Being in front with about 8 - 1 Global did get back in the match, but then 69n28e once again put the pedal to the metal and that was it for Global Gaming.
aTTaX - as always - approached the first match with professinalism and never really let onfire into the match. At 16 - 6 the match was over and aTTaX could get a well deserved break. Unfortunately for onfire the result results (...) in onfire with no possible openings to get to the next stage.
Good Game failed once again after loosing to MYM, which leaves emulate as the last remaing French team in the tournament. A huge dissapointment for the crowd.
H2K Gaming can pack their bags or beat all odds. MiBR turned out to be too much of a bite for the Danes. Its a shame to lose former ESWC champion KK this soon, but apparently the team never got momentum.
Endless vs. NoA - 9 : 21
onfire vs. aTTaX - 8 : 22
ID Gaming vs. wNv - 16 : 14
estro - cubesports - 26 : 4
Global Gaming vs. 69n28e - 10 : 20
NiP vs. Turmoil - 15 : 15
MYM vs. Good Game - 18 : 12
H2K - MiBR - 9 : 21
